This Donation Policy governs all donations made to Bhojan Foundation (“the Trust”, “we”, “us”, “our”) through online, offline, or domestic modes. By making a donation, the donor (“you”, “donor”) agrees to be bound by this policy, along with our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, and Terms & Conditions.
Bhojan Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization established for the purpose of:
Food distribution
Hunger relief
Social welfare and allied charitable activities
All donations received are utilized solely to further the Trust’s charitable objectives in accordance with applicable laws and internal governance norms.
All donations made to Bhojan Foundation are:
Voluntary
Made without coercion or undue influence
Not linked to the provision of any goods or services
A donation does not create any contractual, fiduciary, or beneficiary relationship between the donor and the Trust beyond statutory obligations.
Donations may be made through:
Online payment gateways
Bank transfers
Cheques or demand drafts
Cash (where legally permissible)
Bhojan Foundation reserves the right to accept or reject any donation at its sole discretion, without assigning reasons.
By making a donation, the donor confirms that:
The funds donated belong to them lawfully
The donation is not derived from illegal, prohibited, or restricted sources
The donation does not violate any applicable laws, including anti-money laundering regulations
The Trust may conduct reasonable verification where required by law.
Donations made for a specific purpose shall be used for that purpose to the extent reasonably practicable.
If such utilization becomes impracticable, the Trust reserves the right to redirect the funds toward similar charitable objectives.
The Trust does not accept donations with conditions that compromise its independence, governance, or legal compliance.
Bhojan Foundation may accept anonymous donations in compliance with applicable laws.
However:
Tax benefits may not be available for anonymous donations.
The Trust reserves the right to decline anonymous donations where required by law or regulation.
Eligible donors may receive tax exemption certificates (such as Section 80G) subject to applicable laws.
Issuance of receipts is subject to verification and statutory requirements.
The Trust does not guarantee tax benefits, which depend on prevailing laws and donor eligibility.
The donor is solely responsible for:
Claiming tax benefits correctly
Compliance with income tax regulations
Bhojan Foundation is committed to responsible utilization of donations.
However:
Donations are pooled and utilized as per organizational priorities unless specifically restricted.
Timelines for utilization may vary depending on program requirements.
The Trust does not undertake to provide individualized utilization reports to donors unless legally required.
Donations are generally non-refundable.
Refunds, if any, shall be governed exclusively by the Trust’s Donation Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of this Donation Policy.
Bhojan Foundation reserves the right to:
Reject donations suspected to be fraudulent or unlawful
Freeze or return donations where required by law
Report suspicious transactions to competent authorities
Such actions shall not create any liability on the Trust.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Bhojan Foundation shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from donations.
The Trust makes no warranties regarding outcomes, impact metrics, or results of charitable activities.
Donations are made at the donor’s sole discretion and risk.
Donor information is handled in accordance with the Trust’s Privacy Policy.
The Trust does not sell, trade, or misuse donor data, except as required by law.
Bhojan Foundation reserves the right to:
Modify this Donation Policy at any time
Discontinue acceptance of donations temporarily or permanently
Withdraw or revise programs without prior notice
Such actions shall not affect donations already lawfully utilized.
This Donation Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
